As a child I never questioned anything about my surroundings; it was the only environment I knew. Only until I moved away, did I realized that my small town life was unique and strange yet lonely and depressing. Now as an adult, something so familiar has become so unfamiliar. Through the act of performance I was able to experience the life of a small town American. I created fictional characters who have been contrived from the many individuals I have encountered throughout my childhood and young adulthood in New England. Through the process of researching, production, acting, set designing and directing I have been able to live the life of Sheryl Hannaford.
